Lisbon, Portugal (via Dublin?)

January saw the Tapestry team looking out their passports for 2 international events back to back. Our 18 Tonne truck was prepped for both events with the necessary planning for plenary and breakout kits for 2 medium sized international conferences for 2 different clients in 2 different parts of Europe. The truck set-off on 10th January prepped with everything possibly required for both Dublin and Lisbon events. Dublin was 1st and the event ran without a hitch for 4 days of conference including breakouts. There was an awards on the last night with the equipment struck at close and loaded into the truck ready to head off to Lisbon via the Dublin Ferry at 02:00hrs.

Lisbon was the larger of the 2 events and was a repeat for one of our existing clients. The conference ran for 5 days with main plenary set plus 10 breakout rooms. 7 of our own technical crew travelled over to the venue for the duration of the event. Our driver, Stuart, who is also a full-time Tapestry technician made the crew 8 for the duration of the event. There was an awards presentation on the last night and then an overnight strike at close to allow for another event setting up the following morning. It was a busy few weeks for Stuart who also drove the truck load of kit back to our central distribution warehouse.

The event was a complete success with our client giving all the guys an official thank you at the gala awards dinner and also confirming our services for Dubai next year.

Client comments “Thanks to Tapestry for a bang on job” ” The guys were outstanding”

Well done team Tapestry!
