Tapestry sponsor the Scottish Event Awards
We were delighted to sponsor the Scottish Events Awards, 11th September 2009 at the Hilton Glasgow. It was a great opportunity for us to give something back to the events industry and our customers.

Friday night (11th September) saw the events industry gather at the Hilton Glasgow for what turned out to be an excellent night. Tapestry were delighted to present the prize for Best Cause related/Charity Event and Best Educational Event.

Congratulations to all the award winners, those who were commended and nominated. Your hard work and achievements have been recognised.

The event was a night full of celebration and entertainment as guests were piped into dinner by ‘And then there were 4’, youngsters from the Haddington Pipe Band who performed various songs on the bagpipes and signaled the start of the action-packed evening.
During dinner Scott Cuthbertson performed table top magic and entertained guests with his ability to bend coins – our very own Uri Geller!
After dinner Ha Ha Comedy provided up and coming Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges, who recently appeared on Michael Macintyre’s Comedy Roadshow to warm up the audience with 20 minutes of side splitting comedy before the presentation of awards began.
To end the show, ex Lord of the Dance performers ‘Rhythm of the Celts’ wowed the crowd with their magical and powerful Irish dance routine.
But that’s not all, those who were in the mood to party danced until 2am to the sounds of the band – Sneakers and there was even a Gay Gordon’s thrown in. For those who were mingling in the bar area they had the opportunity to have a drawing done by the Kilted Caricaturist.
After the event finished at 2am those who were hardcore continued the party at Alea Casino at the Quay into the small hours of Saturday morning.
